Product & plans

What is DeskZero?

DeskZero is an FX research and trading review platform. It combines free market information with account-connected journaling, performance reports and Pro intelligence. It is not a broker and does not promise returns.

What can I use for free?

Free, Journal and Pro are all free during beta. After approval, Free includes calendar, headlines, COT, seasonality, correlations, interest rates, market regime and relative strength.

How are Journal and Pro different?

Journal connects your accounts, trading records, playbook and reports. Pro adds Analysis, NextTrade Intelligence and smart account-connected position sizing.

How do I get access?

Choose Free, Journal or Pro, create an account, verify your email and submit a beta access request. An administrator reviews it. Every plan is free during beta, with no card required and no automatic charges.

Can I connect MetaTrader?

Journal and Pro support the DeskZero Expert Advisor workflows for MT4 and MT5. Import and manual entry are also available. Individual metrics depend on the data supplied by your account.

Are these live trading results?

No. Public demonstrations use synthetic data with real DeskZero presentation components. They do not transmit orders or show a live account.

Does DeskZero predict a profitable trade?

No. Scores summarize evidence using defined quantitative criteria. Research, simulations and historical results do not guarantee future performance.

Is backtesting available?

Backtesting is planned for Journal and Pro. It is not available today and is not part of the functionality currently offered.

Platform & Support

How do I connect my trading account to DeskZero?

DeskZero connects to your MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 terminal via a dedicated Expert Advisor (EA) provided in your account area. Simply copy the EA file into the Experts directory of your terminal and enable algorithmic trading: balance, equity, and order history will automatically synchronize to your workspace.

How does the Expert Advisor operate on my terminal?

The DeskZero EA is strictly designed to read and transmit synchronization data. It contains no functions capable of placing, modifying, or closing trades. DeskZero never requests, accesses, or stores your broker trading passwords or withdrawal credentials.

Which brokers and account types are compatible?

DeskZero is compatible with MT4/MT5 brokers and prop firms that support Expert Advisors and platform WebRequest network communications. It supports live accounts, demo accounts, prop firm evaluations, and funded accounts across major base currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.).

What should I do if the EA is disconnected or not transmitting data?

Ensure that 'Algo Trading / Automated Trading' is enabled in your MetaTrader terminal toolbar and that the DeskZero server URL is added to the allowed WebRequest URL list in terminal options. Your account section provides a detailed step-by-step troubleshooting checklist.

What is the difference between Floating PnL and Equity?

Floating PnL represents unrealized profit or loss on open market positions. Equity is the real-time net liquidation value of the account (Balance + Floating PnL). DeskZero tracks both metrics continuously to compute reliable drawdown and portfolio exposure statistics.

Can I record personal notes, chart screenshots, and psychological tags for each trade?

Yes. In the Journal section, you can open the detailed Diary view for any trade to log your trade thesis, execution errors, psychological discipline ratings, and attach chart screenshots for comprehensive post-trade review.

Can I monitor multiple trading accounts simultaneously?

Yes. You can link multiple accounts (e.g. personal brokerage accounts, prop challenge accounts, and funded accounts). From the dashboard, you can quickly switch between accounts or review aggregated portfolio metrics.

How does the Economic Calendar work and how should I use it?

The Economic Calendar aggregates high-impact global macroeconomic releases (interest rate decisions, CPI inflation, employment figures). For each event, it displays historical values, market consensus estimates, and reported actuals as soon as they are published by integrated data providers.

What is the purpose of the Correlation Matrix?

The Correlation Matrix measures statistical relationships across currency pairs and asset classes, helping you identify co-movements and avoid unintentional concentration of directional risk across highly correlated instruments.

How do I interpret the COT (Commitments of Traders) Report?

The COT report processes official CFTC data regarding commercial and non-commercial market positioning, highlighting institutional accumulation trends and extreme historical sentiment shifts across major currency futures.

What do Interest Rate Differentials indicate?

Rate differentials compare central bank benchmark policy rates across global currencies. These differentials serve as primary structural drivers of international capital flows, currency strength trends, and medium-to-long term carry trades.

What does the Seasonality Heatmap show?

The Seasonality tool analyzes historical multi-year statistical performance patterns for each asset across different calendar months, highlighting cyclical tendencies and documented historical seasonality windows.

How does the Position Size Calculator work?

By inputting your account equity, target risk percentage, and Stop Loss distance in pips or points, the calculator computes the exact lot size to trade, factoring in instrument contract specifications and dynamic pip value.

What is the Strategy Playbook?

The Playbook is your validated setup repository: it allows you to catalog entry rules, market context prerequisites, and invalidation criteria, and link each journaled trade to a specific playbook setup.

What is the purpose of NextTrade Intelligence?

NextTrade Intelligence evaluates current market conditions, upcoming calendar events, and your account's recent performance metrics to provide a structured pre-trade checklist, minimizing impulsive trades and rule deviations.

Is DeskZero a broker or an order execution venue?

DeskZero is not a broker, does not accept deposits, and does not execute orders on behalf of clients. It is an independent quantitative research, macro intelligence, disciplined journaling, and risk management workspace designed to support trader decision-making.

What is the typical response time for support inquiries?

Our support desk typically responds within 2–4 business hours for inquiries submitted via contact form or email. Official platform announcements, guides, and updates are also broadcast on our official Telegram channel.
